Ways to support

1. Share our story

Help us get the word out and create the kind of public pressure we need to force industry, elected leaders, and government agencies to take action.

Reach out to us. We know there are other communities in Mississippi that are experiencing similar issues with industries and the agencies and leaders charged with protecting our health and environment from industrial pollution.  We believe working together, we can achieve common goals and make real change in this state.

2. Volunteer

A big part of our work is data collection - conducting health surveys and air samples and engaging with media, elected officials, and state and federal agencies - reporting incidents, participating in the permit process, and more.  We have a consistent need for expertise - technical support for the industrial permits, community science testing, and health professionals - such as toxicologists that can speak to the health impacts of industrial pollution.

In fact, all of the community science projects that we done have been made possible because of individuals and organizations volunteering their time, donating equipment, and offering their expertise. We would like to acknowledge and thank the following people and organizations:

We also welcome support of any kind. If you have a special skill or just time to offer in support of our goals, we would love to hear from you.

3. Donate

We are 100% volunteer organization. All of the work we have been able to do has been paid for by the residents of Cherokee, our fundraising efforts, and generous donations of organizations, like Mississippi Gulf Coast Chapter of Sierra Club.

With your financial support, we can pay for the technical expertise and the community science projects that help us better advocate for our community. You can make a donation one of the following ways:
